    Machine Leaking

Leaking from Above the Drip Tray

The most common cause for leaks from the hole above the drip tray is caused by the Tank Gasket in the bowl either being damaged or placed incorrectly. Most often, taking the Tank Gasket out and placing it in again, making sure there is no bubbling, and that the seam where the two ends of the rubber tubing meet and are fused together are placed in the back corner of the machine.

Once this is done, place the bowl back on your machine and fill with water to test for leaks. If your Tank Gasket is damaged, you can order a replacement gasket on our site.

*If your machine has a lot of condensation on the sides, this will be channeled down from the sides of your machine and into the drip tray, via a rubber tube that runs inside of your machine. This is an intentional design to capture some of the liquid that would be spilling off your machine in higher humidity environments.

        Leaking From the Spigot

Most often, constant leaks from the Spigot can be traced back to damaged 0-Rings inside of the spigot, or even a lack of lubrication in the spigot causing the plunger to not fully go back to a closed position.

To determine what is causing a leak, disassemble the spigot and look for any damage or wear to the

O-Rings that are on the spigot plunger. If you do not see any damage, then add a small dab of food-grade lubricant to your spigot O-Rings and reassemble.

If leaks continue, reach out to us at info@frostyfruit.net, or fill out the support form above, and we can help further diagnose the problem.

    Auger Not Turning

Horizontal Auger isn’t Spinning But the Vertical Auger is

If the vertical auger is spinning but the horizontal auger is not, this is typically caused by the white plastic knob on the front of the machine's bowl not being properly locked in place.

With your machine empty, unscrew this knob and pull to remove it from the machine. Then, carefully reinsert the knob while aligning it in a way so that it can fully engage the horizontal auger and lock by turning the knob to the right until you hear a "deep click" sound.

Turn the machine on and test to make sure the auger is spinning.

        Vertical Auger is not Spinning

Before following the next step, test to see if Bypass being turned on resolves your machine's issue.

If the vertical auger is not spinning, this could be caused by the cotter pin inside of your machine being damaged. This video shows how to replace a cotter pin in your machine. These cotter pins are very inexpensive. And sometimes, extra cotter pins can be found inside of your machine. Below is an image that shows where they are located when you first open your machine panel.

If your auger issues persist, or you would like help walking through the troubleshooting process, fill out the support form above or email us at info@frostyfruit.net.

    Freezing FAQ

How early do I need to start my machine to get it to freeze on time?

You should start your machine 1.5 to 2 hours before you intend to serve.

Why is there ice on the outside of my machine?

That comes from the amount of moisture in the air. In the same way, a glass of ice water “sweats” the moisture in the air condenses when it comes in contact with the cold machine. Because of how cold the machine is, it sometimes freezes. You can try turning up the machine temperature setting to remedy the issue, but it is completely normal and the machine will function fine even if nothing is done.
